History
The Mako Song Contest 2018 is the debuting edition of the Mako Song Contest.
The Mako Broadcasting Union (MBU) - the creator of the contest, decided to give the hosting rights to the United States broadcaster ABC for the very first edition.
The ground-break of the Edition took place in May with the creation of the Official Social Media accounts.
The MBU decided that the composition of the contest should be as follows :
2 countries from Africa;
5 countries from Asia;
45 countries from Europe;
3 countries from North America;
5 countries from South America;
2 countries from Oceania.
Presenters
It has been revealed that the creators of the contest, Adrian and Reza, will host the 3 shows in San Francisco's Chase Center.
Adrian presented both Semi-Finals and the Jury Vote of the Grand Final, while Reza presented the Televote of the Grand Final.
Host City
San Francisco has been selected as the inaugural host of the competition in 2018 due to its rich history, culture and beautiful views.
The city welcomed all the 63 delegations to the beautiful San Francisco Bay where they got a taste of the Californian way of life.

Allocation Draw
Each country has been grouped into pots of countries that are likely to vote for each other (such as the Eastern Bloc) and then evenly spread into 6 pots that contained countries from different parts of Europe and beyond.
This is the result of the allocation after each country has been drawn to its proper half and semi-final in which they have performed:
